Northwestern University (MSE) PhD

I was accepted to Northwestern (Materials Science Phd Fall 2012) via phone. I haven't gotten any emails from them yet and it still shows on the website that an admission decision has not been rendered yet. Did anyone get any emails. Just wondering!!!!! Does anyone know when are they sending out formal letters/emails.

I don't know anything specific to that Northwestern program, but it is quite common for people to find out about an admissions decision before it shows up on a web site.  I hope this helps.

I got the official email today with all the details. I got the phone call on Jan 31.

The visits are scheduled for March 2 or March 30.

Which visit are you going to go on? If you haven't made a decision yet, I can offer some advice! I know many of the professors and their grad students will be at the APS March Meeting during the March 2 weekend, so if you have several profs you want to talk to, go to the March 30! Hope to see you there :-)
