kakamayr Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Hi all! I'm working with this professor who is very nice and helpful, but in the last couple of months I noticed that he doesn't answer my emails anymore. Though he admits he has received my emails, he does not bother to answer. This was not the case when I started working with him. He used to answer my emails within hours. This is causing me a lot of trouble because I'm a part-time student, and I can't get out of work to meet him in his office hours in the morning every week. So, somtimes I need feedback or meeting confirmations via email. It is not like I email him about eveything, mostly it's feedback or meeting confirmations. Any advice please Thanks!
Arcadian Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 My adviser sometimes neglects to respond to my emails, but he at least admits that he does this and views it as a potential problem, so he encourages me to either re-send the emails or call him. I would just re-send your email each day that he fails to respond, possibly including "IMPORTANT" in the subject line (if indeed it is important).
