Question: Do All the phD candidate get interview?

I am still waiting for information from the school I applied for. I have received 1 rejection last mouth. Since then, SILENCE......... t his damn silence is killing me right, I can do nothing with great presence of my mind. I see that a lot of phD applicants got interviews these days which made me even anxious and worried about myself. I wonder that if all the candidate will get a interview? or some school will accept student without any interview?

I think it depends on your field, as well as the size of the program. For example, there are two programs in my field that I know of (I did not apply to them) that accept fewer than five people each year, and they conduct interviews. The programs I've applied to accept more than that, but between 10-20 people per year. I've been accepted to two programs and was not interviewed for either, just notified of my acceptance.
