8 weeks? How long does LSE take to make notify? (MSc IR)

I finished my application to LSE (MSc International Relations) recently and it says they will take up to 8 weeks to make a decision and notify me.

I was wondering if anybody had any experience with LSE applications and how long it takes usually. Does it really take 8 weeks or is it more like 4-6 like some of the other UK schools say? Thanks.

I applied for an LSE MSc about 6 weeks ago and haven't heard a thing.

Oh wow. Thanks for the response Jsigmund. It's been only two weeks for me... I wish they were as fast as Durham, who took like two weeks! I guess I'll be waiting into April. Good luck!

I applied to the LSE MSc IR (research track) in mid-January and I got accepted on February 27. Hope this helps.

It will likely be about 8 weeks from the day you recieve the 4th email when they process your applicaiton

However it's getting a bit later in the process so it could be a bit shorter

I applied on Jan 20 and received a decision on Feb 20.

I applied for the IR dual-degree on January 31st and heard back on March 22.

Just got into LSE today. Turns out it took about 6 weeks... Very happy about this!

It took nearly 10 weeks to receive my acceptance, but I submitted my application the day after it was released back in October so... Guess they just needed time to compare to at least a couple other applications.

Yeah 2012IRgrad, I've heard the same thing from others who applied very early. Now the applications are closed, so I count myself lucky for getting while applying so late...
