The Position:

A new Strategic Research Centre at Deakin - PRaDA, Pattern Recognition and Data Analytics has been established at Deakin University.

We are looking for motivated PhD candidates.

Research Topics:

- Machine Learning

- Computer Visionng

- Data Minig

- Video Surveillance

Location: Deakin University, Waurn Ponds Campus ( 70km away from Melbourne city )

Salary: $28.000 stipend per annum ( tax exempt)

Tenure: 3 years + 6 months extension ( if needed )

Travel expenses + conference expenses.

Requirements of the successful candidate will include:

• A Master of Computer Science (by research) or First class Honours degree in a relevant discipline.
  
• Solid background in mathematical background and programming skills.
  
• Research experience.
  
• IELTS at the minimum 6.5 ( no band less than 6.0 ) for international students.
