Anyone applied to Hospitality, Tourism, and Leisure?

Is there anyone who applied to those program?

I have applied to 7 program related to those department.

However, I only got a result from one program.

(Accepted - Clemson / pending - MSU, PSU, TAMU, Temple, Purdue, UIUC)

I would like to ask the other information from you guys.

Did you hear any results from those program????

Hi there, I applied to UNLV, Purdue, UMass Amherst, VT and USC. Interviewed with USC on the 2/12, Purdue on the 2/19 and UNLV on the 2/26. Got rejected from UMass this morning, accepted to Purdue and USC via email. Still awaiting the official letters though.

VT: I heared that they have a committee meeting on 3/1. We will get results from them soon I think.

Wow they only interviewed 6? But I kinda expected that rejection from UMass. UNLV will finish their interviews this week, and results should be out in a couple of weeks (according to the Director of the PhD program there). And i think my lousy interview is gonna get me one of those rejection emails too. lol. 

 

I am waiting for VT too

Yeah, I applied to VT last since their due date was the latest among all schools (2/15), so i guess we have to wait anxiously for the news.

Hey congratulations. My status is recommended too! and i got an email from the professor (the one that interviewed me) saying that I'm in, just wait for the official admission package. What will you be specializing in?

Thanks! Same here, my status also shows "decision pending". But I did receive the funding letter yesterday via mail.

Did you apply to Cornell? I jsut wondering how many applicants applied for that school.

 

As for USC, my status is "recommend - decision pending". but I don't know what the mean by "recommend" since I never had an interview with them.

Yes but I am not sure how many people applied to Cornell. It's especilly hard to see the information of Cornell.

Have you heard about something on intervews from that school?

 

And USC...my status changed from "recommend - decision pending" to "Decision-Decision pending", so I asked to "hanin_schum" about the status. Also I don't know exactly the meaning of each step. Do you have still the same status?

I also in the same situation as you. Now I am so nervous as I have only 3 universities left. Last night I have an email from IOWA State questioning about my degree therefore I think they are still reviewing the application right now.

Thanks for the information of ISU. Any one knows if ISU will interview with candidates or not? Actually my application was complete and forwarded to the committee two weeks ago. So according to the general timeline, might the school interview with someone? but still no response...

personally I think those accepted have been notified via email. But the others' notifications have not been processed. so the status shows pending...

Lol no. Im very much overwhelmed, I've never studied abroad before and this will be my first time. Its pretty scary actually, as i will move to the states alone. I do hope that my decision will definitely allow for the space to be filled by other applicants. Speaking of waitlist, i think Ejhope did mentioned that Purdue has no waitlist for this year. I am not so sure about that, correct me if I am wrong. I was also kinda shocked to hear from VT, not to mentioned that I didn't get called for any interview. Maybe VT doesn't conduct interviews.
