There are a few Creative Writing PhD acceptances and one English PhD acceptance up on the results board. Anyone heard anything about MA?

Also, what is your overall impression of the school academically? I visited at the beginning of Jan and wasn't that impressed.

Just had a friend accepted to their CW poetry PhD. They've invited her to visit, so I can talk to her and get back to you in a bit.

desipoet, if your friend gets accepted to any other poetry Ph.D programs not already on the survey/board, can you inform us through either channel?

Sure thing! I don't know if she applied elsewhere, though.

Someone just posted an MA acceptance to UNL. Anyone want to claim it? How'd you get notified? I've been checking GAMES, but my app is still "under review" on the progress bar.

I received my rejection email today. It stings quite a bit. I'm not looing foward to PhD apps in three years.

I posted an acceptance to the MA (my emphasis will be creative writing); it came last Thursday via e-mail. It was informal (from director of the English Graduate program), they said that a formal offer would be coming this week. It appears that it will come with full funding--very thankful!

It makes me sort of relieved that you were accepted to Creative Writing. I applied to Composition and Rhetoric with literature to a lesser extent. I didn't think my chances were very good, but I wonder how many they accepted for Composition and Rhetoric. For me, my application was most tailored for UNL with my research interests in ecofeminism, plains based writing, and Willa Cather.

I emailed Sue Hart (because I don't really care what they think of me now that I was rejected), and she said that they admitted four MA students in Comp/Rhet.

I posted an MA acceptance to UNL; I've gotten like 5 gazillion emails from them. I'm not going to take it, so maybe that's good news for some waitlisters. :)
