I want a program that truly melds the studio arts with technology; any ideas?

Title says it all, I posted in the digital forum, but I'm not sure that would be the best place. I looking for a program that gives me the skills to teach elementary age students the traditional art skills while being realistic about the hold computers and related technology have on young kids. For example, having the students due a series of traditional figures in motion, in charcoal and then animating that same series.

Clemson has a MFA in Digital Production Art that is very close, but they want their artist to have programming skills and their programmers to have art skills. While, unlike most of my studio art friends, I did choose programming classes to fufill my computer class requirements, I do not think my skills are at the level they are looking for.

University of Texas has an Art and Technology that would work

Uiversity of Denver has MFA in Emergent Digital Practices that's pretty close, but they are very expensive and I not getting the vibe that their funding is that great, so they're out.

I swear I saw information at one time on an Art and Science or Art and Engineering program, but if I did, I can't find it again.

The other New Media or Emerging Media programs I've seen are 96% computer based art and I don't want that.

Any ideas, or I am chasing something that does not exist?

Thanks

Take a look at MIT's Media lab. Might be a good place to start. Even if you dont feel like you would get in there, getting in touch with some of their grad students might help you, if they told you what other programs they looked into .

School of the Art Institute has a great art and technology department with some awesome professors. You should check it out.

At Ohio State University they have:

Arts & Technology is an interdisciplinary studio art program in computer mediated art, which includes interactive installation, robotic and kinetic sculpture, multimedia, digital video, 3D modeling, animation, digital imaging, holography, web based works, and sound. Students are encouraged to consider content, contexts and approaches that may not fit with the traditional definitions of art or display venues.
