Accepted by letter today, yaaaay! Information about research assistantships etc., but none about a writing center.

I also wonder why some people received phone calls, others emails, and others letters?

After not-so patiently waiting I also received a letter in the mail today notifying me of my acceptance to the Literary and Cultural Studies MA program. I also received the email from Kelly Delaney about potential tutoring jobs, and so I was both intrigued and confused because I hadn't heard anything via phone, email or letter.

It is strange that they notified people in different ways, but I am really excited about this program and its faculty, especially Professor Shumway! I hope to make it to the visiting days at the end of March, but it is a little short notice for someone on the West coast...

I was just curious if anyone that was accepted is attending the March 29-30 open house. Though they give $400 in travel reimbursement, I'm still not sure if I can dish out the money. Do you think it's worth it? My dad went to CMU for engineering back in the day, so I've seen the campus multiple times...but I'm wondering if I'd be missing a good opportunity to meet the faculty if I didn't attend. What do you guys think?

Even if I can't make it, I look forward to meeting you all sometime in the near future.

I applied for MA in rhetoric, but it seems that i'm on the waitlist...The administrator told me the decision will be no later than the second week of March. So obviously...

CMU is also my dream school! T T
