How to decline an offer

Hi everyone! I have finally decided where I will be heading to school next year. However, I have to let two schools know that I will be declining their offer. What is the best way to go about doing so? Should I email the people I was in touch with? Any advice would be helpful. With one school I went down and visited, spoke to many faculty members, and they seem eager for me to attend. The other school I have not yet visited, but spoke on the phone with one faculty member.
