Pilule Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Hi all, I'm just overwealmed! I applied to doctoral studies for Fall 2012 and I already accepted the offer at McGill. The only condition is to present my transcript with "degree conferred". It is supossed that I will submit my MA thesis during May and defend it in mid June, but now I was told that the committee for my defense is not available during the summer! I am not able to submit the thesis before, and I am wondering what if I go to McGill and say "hey guys, I can't graduate on time, sorry" Does somebody know anything about this situation? What should I do? Thank you!
uromastyx Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Yikes! How can the committee "not be available?" I defended my MA in the summer with two committee members joining via teleconference. Can you talk to them and figure something out? If not, you'll have to contact McGill and explain the situation and ask about possible options.
