I'm starting this fall in the Media Studies program.

Is anyone newly admitted for Fall '12 to the New School? What program? Where are you thinking of living--or are you doing anything online? Are you excited as I am?!?!?

Hello, I'll be going to the NSSR this fall. I'm really excited about this I've been waiting forever and now I'm kinda confused what to do lol

By the way, about housing -- I'm an international and I'm quite unfamiliar with housing rates in NYC .. is the graduate housing affordable? I prefer external housing but I'd go for anything cheap .. relatively, that is.

Veteran NYC student here. Ive never lived in New School housing, but if youre an international student, live in student housing. The NYC rental market is ***EXTREMELY*** stressful, competitive, expensive, and difficult to deal with. After living in NY for a bit, go for it, but start out with school housing.

Hi guys, I'll be starting in NSSR in the fall too. I've been told that there is a website or forum where people are discussing housing tips, besides this one. I've also been told that living off campus is cheaper. Some say use craigslist, but I haven't heard much advice about proper apartment shopping off campus. I am very excited as well!
