missmoneypenny Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 (edited) Hello there: I have lurked on and off since last year, but I thought I'd ask my own question today. I apologize if the topic is redundant, but I haven't managed to find anything in the archives. I'm a final year undergraduate in Montreal and will complete 75 out of 90 credits at the end of this semester (received transfer credits from my previous BA). Despite being quite aware of SSHRC and/or FQRSC (Quebec equivalent) requirements, I'm not quite clear on the timeframes in which to apply. Due to being accepted into the Honours stream of my BA, I will graduate one semester later than expected - in April 2013 and hopefully begin MA studies in Fall 2013. So do I apply for the Fall 2012 application cycle as a current undergraduate student or apply for the Fall 2013 application cycle as a recent BA graduate and perhaps already having completed one semester of MA studies? Any advice? Best of luck to everyone and thanks! missmoneypenny Edited March 24, 2012 by missmoneypenny
ladybug3 Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 If you're in a one year MA, you'll apply in Fall 2012 for funding in the 2013/2014 year. If you're applying for a two year MA, you can apply for both (2012 for the 2013/2014 year and 2013 for the 2014/2015 year). In either case, you can apply while finishing your BA next year.
