yiabroad Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I am deciding between the MSW macro programs at BC and Columbia for Fall 2012 enrollment. Both schools have their pros and cons, but I am wondering if folks could share their two cents. I am interested in working with families/children domestically and internationally. I have lived in Boston for several years but am currently abroad in Asia. I am familiar with both locations geographically. I attended a large state school (UC Berkeley), so I am hoping for a graduate program that offers strong support. I am attracted to BC's new macro track: Social Innovation Collaborative, but I also know that Columbia has a strong and established social enterprise management program. I feel that both programs offer their students different pluses. Many thanks for any wisdom!
SofieCat Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 yaibroad- Did you receive any scholarships or financial aid (not loans) from BC? I am not familiar with columbia's program but BC seems like an excellent school if you're interested in international relief work. they are very connected in that community.
jules162 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I know that you can do international field placements at BC
