objectivityofcontradiction Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Hey All, I'm applying to University College Dublin for their 3rd round of admissions in May. Just curious if there is any one on here who either attends UCD or knows a thing or two or three about the school. I'm also applying to Warwick, U College London, and Sussex in the UK. Any information regarding those schools would be appreciated as well. I'll be studying philosophy. Thanks.
Jimmy McNulty Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 I'm a graduate of UCD. What do you want to know?
objectivityofcontradiction Posted April 13, 2012 Author Posted April 13, 2012 I'm curious about the school of philosophy if you know anything.. about the campus itself.. the part of the city it is located in.. if you have any input on student-faculty relations.. the research facilities, especially the library. I'd love to hear about anything you feel is worth sharing.

The campus itself is ok, perhaps a bit drab and the Arts building (where you will be based) is pretty dreary. However, there are good things too; there is plenty of green space for relaxing and for sports. The university is located in a nice area of Dublin; leafy suburbs and expensive rents! I can't really answer your questions about research facilities, etc. You should go to www.boards.ie and go to the UCD forum there. You will be able to get answers to all your questions there from current students. Link: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=470 Jimmy McNulty 1
