adewise1 Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Okay so I applied to the EECS department of about 7 graduate schools... MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, Univ of Minnesota, University of Michigan, Purdue University, and Vanderbilt University. So far, I got accepted into Vanderbilt University and Univ of Minnesota and I got rejected by MIT. I was just wondering what choice you guys would make if you were offered admission and full scholarship to both Vanderbilt and Univ of Minnesota. I know Vanderbilt if like #18 in the US overall, way better than Univ of Minnesota, however in engineering, Univ of Minnesota is #24 and Vanderbilt is #42. So which of both school would you choose? Also say you got admitted into all 7 schools all with full scholarships, can you rate these schools in your order or preference? i find this method a better way to decide my future than flipping a quarter. Thanks for your anticipated responses.
was1984 Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I'd go with whichever adviser has the most interesting research to you. What area are you in?
