I have the opportunity to receive a master's at the same institution where I did my undergraduate studies or at a different university. I am curious if employers prefer that you work at two different schools instead of the same. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't think it makes much of a difference to an employer, if you're from a really good university and have the credentials they're looking for. However, going to another university for a masters would just be more interesting and challenging in my opinion.

I think that often it is academia which prefers you to have diversity in your education, not so much employers. However, there is also an advantage to your professional networks from that diversity--being able to leverage two school's worth of alumni/career services vs one in finding work after graduation.
