Chukwu Chucks Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 So my university has QUARTER system (3 months)....how many credits do usually grad student take per quarter on average?
MashaMashaMasha Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 This depends on your program, and they should have some inkling of this either on their website, or the catalog. If those things fail, call your department and ask. My first quarter, there is a minimum of 10 credits and a maximum of 18, and I think most people are taking somewhere between 12 and 15. So, very much resembling a semester system.
tammyride Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 (edited) Somewhere between 12 to 18 credits but it can vary from college to college. Dinar Exchange Rate Edited June 12, 2012 by tammyride
imonedaful Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 My undergraduate institute went on quarters and 9 hours (approximately 3 classes) was considered full time. Most full time students took 9 or 12 credits.
TakeruK Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 When I was looking at the courseloads at schools I applied to, most of them had about 2-3 courses per quarter for 3 quarters each year. The majority of the courses are usually taken in the first year though, and usually courses are finished by the end of year 2.
kaykaykay Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 students usually take 3-4 classes (3 hours each). you need to take 3 classes to be a full time student. if you TA or work on something some of these can be dummy units joosemoore 1
