coco1001 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Hi everyone, I'm planning to apply this year to the MPA ID at Harvard. Most of the people who get accepted have 3-4 years of work experience, and the HKS admission pages states that they occasionaly take people with no experience, but that it's not a common thing. Right now I have one year of full-time work experience + one internship and a year of a part-time research assistant job. All of them were good positions and in the fields of development and politics. My intention is to apply this December (2012) for the 2013-2015 program. If I get accepted I would start the program with 2 years of full-time work experience. I'm confident that my GRE scores will be high, and my recs and the university where I come from (I'm an international student) are also quite prestigious in my country. What do you think are my chances in terms of work experience? BTW, I was already accepted at LSE for one of their economcs courses (2012-2013) but I rejected the offer because I didn't know what I wanted when I applied. [this won't happen with the MPA ID ] Cheers everyone!
