Georgette Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Hello everyone, I am a recent graduate in Business Economics looking to pursue a Masters Degree. I am very interested in Public Policy issues and implementation as well as in Political Economy and Development. I would like to pursue a career in NGO's, government offices, and/or international institutions. From my perspective, a Master in Economics does cover some of the main areas addressed by MPA/MPP programs, granted from a much more quantitative angle. However, I would like to ask you here regarding the main curricular as well as practical similitudes and differences between a MSc in Economics and MPA/MPP programs. Also, I would really appreciate any input or personal advice regarding a choice of program in light of my interests and career objectives. Thank you in advance for your time and I look forward to reading your insights!
OregonGal Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 You might want to re-post this over in the Professional Programs--Government Affairs sub-forum as that is where the MPP/MIA folks hang out.
