magpie1127 Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I also posted this on the humanities board: I'm hoping to get some perspective from current grad students. I have my BA from an American university, and was just accepted into the MA program at King's College London. This is known to be a pretty great university, but I was wondering if anyone has any insight into how it's viewed in American academia? I'm hoping to use my MA to increase my doctoral prospects. If you have any reference to this university, do you think it's a good idea? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
saintsfan86 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Hi there, I thought I'd reply to your post since I'm familiar with KCL, having studied in London for a while. From what I know KCL is best known for its War Studies/ Conflict Studies program and overall its one of the best colleges in the UK, but outside of the UK I'm not so sure about its name recognition. I don't know how reputed the English program is though, I'd just say that studying English in the land of Shakespeare shouldn't be so bad, besides London is a great city to be in if you don't mind the bad weather
