Hi guys

Thank you for your help if someone could answer this question: I want to apply for a phd program. Some schools require statement of purpose, and some schools require personal statement. I know that one is more professional ( talk more about research experience) while the other should show more interest in the subject. So I decide to write two of them.

But if the school only require ps, should I also talk about my research experience?

If a school only asks for one document, what they want is the research statement. Follow the prompt and unless it asks for your personal story, don't give it.
