JessaRaea
Hi all- I did my Masters degree in the UK. It has come to my attention that the required GRE may be waived, by a lot of schools, if I get my transcripts evaluated by an agency. I have done a little bit of research on them, pricing etc. They aren't cheap, and personally I think unless there is a standard way of 'converting' it almost seems conclusively subjective in its nature. Which scares me. I had a lower second, 58.9% overall grade for my M.Sc. It states this on my transcript. On some some charts i have read that this usually equates in a range of a B, 2.7 - 3.0. What I am wanting to talk about is how they can convert on a 100 point scale, to a 4.0 scale, when in England i haven't even heard of anyone making over 80%. Now i know it has been done, I just don't these genius's personally. In my class, i don't recall anyone achieving over 79% on a paper. Unfortunately, for me i failed my dissertation by 1 point, redid and got and average which really hurt my overall from being over 60%. In any event, it is what it is, and i am just wanting to know what others think, with an educated guess, what my evaluation would render with my 58.9 percentage translated to a GPA. Also what are anyone's experiences in/directly? Thanks in advance.
