C_Chattra Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I'm applying for MS Psychology in Education at Columbia TC this year and was wondering if my undergrad GPA will forever kill my chances. I have an overall 3.05 and my major GPA is 3.3 (went to JHU). A thing to note is I was placed on academic probation for having 2.05 in one semester (had family and personal issue), however, I had a pretty strong upward trend, and was able to finish my last semester with a 3.62 Dean's List. Since I graduated, I've been doing 2 years of research in education and one of my big accomplishment was being a co-author of a book chapter. I realize that my undergrad grades are pretty weak but I was hoping my research experience might be able to compensate that. What do you think? I'm SO nervous to even apply to this program!!! Thanks so much for any insight!!
