Should I put this kind of paper in CV?

I participated in the Mathematical Contest in Modeling(MCM in short) in 2011.

In order to participate successfully, each team should write a paper based on the problem the choose.

In my case, the paper was awarded Meretricious, however it was not published.

So my question is: should I put this kind of unpublished paper in my CV? If so, how should this kind of paper be called?

It wouldn't be put under a Publications section, but it would be ideal to put it somewhere else like Presentations or Awards.
