Dose it matter if I drop a class and have a W in my transcript?

Hi, everyone! I just started my graduate study at US. The coursework here is unexpected heavy for me so that I'm thinking about dropping one class. As I'm very new in US. I really have no idea about what does a W in my transcript mean to the future employer or Graduate school since I haven't decided whether to work or pursue PhD after finishing master degree. So I want to hear from your voice! I really need help and need to make decision this week because my over workload has already prevented me from concentrating on my research area!

By the way, my credit hour would still meet the full-time requirement even after drop this class. I would appreciate a lot if you can leave some comments below!

Dropping the class will make no difference, either to an employer or for a post-doc. Don't worry about it.
