Penthesilea Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 It takes me a while to put together a portfolio, as I paint very detailed on large canvases. One canvas can have many nice vignettes within the whole. For these pieces would it be abominable to have 2 details in addition to the full view? I have smaller work which I will not put details of. My thinking was that it would be better to show more new work than to put old stuff that doesn't mesh as well.. Any other tips are welcome! Thank you all in advance for any suggestions or experience in putting together a really great drawing and painting portfolio! Best of Luck:)
michaelwebster Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 It might be worth it. You definitely don't want to add work that would be sub-par to the rest of the portfolio, so details would be a better option.
