ToffeeCan Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions. I graduated from the University of Colorado a few years ago with a degree in Engineering Physics, 3.3 GPA. I have worked as a Project Engineer for the last 3 years but was recently laid off. My best friend is about to finish his PHD in the same program, so I am fairly familiar with it and he has offered to write me a LOR, if that helps at all. I haven't officially taken the GRE yet but my practice scores put me in the 98th percentile for quantitative. I have a few months left until admissions closes and I believe Stanford does NOT practice rolling admissions, so that's helpful. Do I have a shot? Is my GPA too shit? Will my work experience help? Thanks again.
