nolita Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 I'm applying to Masters of Education programs to become an elementary school teacher. I just graduated from Brown with a concentration in Education and a 3.8 GPA. I have experience volunteering with children and student-teaching (although most of my work is with high school students; I now realize I want to do upper elementary.) I'm applying to Stanford, Vanderbilt, UC Berkeley, and UT Austin (and others that don't require the GRE). Stanford is my dream. Berkeley is currently my second choice. Should I retake the GRE to increase my chances of a) getting into these schools and/or getting a fellowship/scholarship? I only took it today and I already forgot the scores... Verbal was either 161 or 164. Math was either 154 or 156 (that's the one I'm worried about). I'm having trouble finding average GRE scores for people accepted to the programs I'm applying to, so maybe those of you who have actually applied can help? Thanks in advance for any insight you can offer!
