dinak Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Hello I am applying for biomedical and biology PhD programs this fall. I have a decent amount of research experience and decent GRE scores, but mediocre grades. I am a biochem major, but I minored in dance and have been a part of the hip hop dance community at my school. Dance is a big part of my life, but since I am applying to science programs, how much do I mention it, if at all? Are they even going to care? I'm a little lost as to whether I should make it a focus point since it probably makes me different from other applicants, or to just mention it in passing as an example of teaching and mentoring experience (taught workshops, ran rehearsals, etc.). Any advice would be welcome. Thanks!
