natirayol Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Hi! I'm from Brazil, and I'm starting the applications to my PhD in Political Science/International Relations (Did my master in Rio de Janeiro). My subject of study is sexual abuse by military peacekeepers (gendes studies+Security studies), and the methodology I will apply is mainly qualitative. Do you think an American university would be interested in this kind of topic (not traditional at all), or should I focus only in European ones? (I have already applied to LSE and Geneva) Hope you can help me! Cheers
Penelope Higgins Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Elisabeth Jean Wood at Yale does related work. I would look her up. If you don't have the credentials to get into Yale, you might see where some of her students doing work along these lines have ended up teaching. lordvader and jacib 2

Bdeniso Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I was also going to link this today but from a different blog http://politicalviolenceataglance.org . As a side note, many should follow these blogs to keep track about the current scholarly agendas, debates, and tips often discussed.
