dagger Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 I know that the majority of students who attend graduate school in DC (GT, GW, American?) work during the day and take night courses. For those of us relocating, what is the standard procedure for this? Do students line up internships before school begins for the semester? Do they wait until second semester? The second year? I feel really naive about this sort of thing.
Dreams Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 That's a good question. Have you considered checking in with the career services section of the schools you are interested in? Perhaps they have connections and can aid the students in securing internships. What has worked for me personally though in DC is either contacting an interesting organization for an informational interview, or going there in person. Most of the organizations there were receptive to the prospects of an internship.
