Water Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I'm currently a senior math major who is looking to apply to MS programs in applied math. I became a math major in my junior year but have taken lower division math courses before I switched. As a result I have no research/publications, but my major GPA is 4.0 Lower division courses: Linear algebra I, Intro to Proofs, Calc III My upper division courses are as follows Ordinary Differential Equations Advanced Calc Abstract Algebra (1 semester) Real Analysis (1 semester) Statistics (1 semester) I'm currently taking: Numerical analysis I and Linear algebra II In the spring I plan on taking: Numerical analysis II, Complex variables, Abstract Algebra II, and Math Modeling. I'm planning to apply to the following MS programs: UWashington, Northwestern, and Stanford. Do I have any chance at these MS programs? And which lower tier MS programs should I look into?
