Middle Eastern Studies - SAIS or SFS?

Anyone have any thoughts on which has a stronger Masters Middle Eastern Studies program? SAIS seems to have somewhat of a conservative bent (Martin Kramer seems to teach all classes that has to do with Israel - I happen to lean left), but I can't really come to any solid conclusions. Thoughts?

This is Martin Kramer here. For the information of all concerned, I am a visiting professor for the academic year 2012-13 only. So if anyone is thinking of coming to SAIS just for me, I have to disappoint you. But if you want to avoid me, this should come as a relief. I happen to think highly of the program and the faculty who do teach there on a regular basis. But if your fellow students are a consideration, I do now have lots of experience with them, and they're really first-rate. I've never taught a more diverse, informed, experienced and open-minded cadre of students. Good luck with your applications.
