Hi everyone,
I am Maziar and I'm from Iran.

I've got admission from the two above mentioned institutions for Master Program in Computer Science: Computer Science Master's Program in Bonn University, Computer Science Master's Program in Saarland University. None of these universities offer financial support. and Both of them charge no tuition fees (only 230 Euro per semester for Bonn University and 150 Euro per semester for Saarland University). Now I am having difficulties in choosing one of them considering Both of them advocate that they are one of the best universities in Germany toward research in Computer Science.

What can you say about these programs? What is the level of study in each of them? What program would you advise? What are the prospective in research/work in these institutions? More Importantly, Which one would be better for me toward a PhD degree in Computer Science? (Because I definitely will continue my education to get a PhD)

Overall, which university would you advise (considering the reputation of them and also living expenses in both cities) and for what reasons?

Thank you very much in advance for your answers.

Yours Sincerely,
Maziar.

Hello there, as I am not in the CS field so my pov is loosely based on the general idea about the Germany schools. actually they said in Germany except the very young one (with less than 20 years of history) are considered fairly close to each other (of above average standard in the world). of course if you are talking about IMPRS or TUM or LUM then they must be a bit superior, but for the 2 you mentioned are more or less the same in reputation over the world. so just pick the one with consideration of living cost and the location of the city. btw congratulations!
