Who has applied to MIT ORC or MIT EECS Programme?

Hi all PhD wannabes, has anyone applied to any of the above programme? And have you received any news for the uni? Lets share. cheers

I've applied to both. No communication from EECS yet, from ORC I received an email a few days ago saying that my application was now complete. I'm guessing that email arriving only now is just a matter of them having a massive backlog of applications to clear, to the best of my knowledge my application was complete in December.

Have you heard anything yet?

Cool. For me, I have yet to even receive the email indicating my application was complete from either department. But earlier this morning, I received one from ORC asking me for confirmation on naming details as reflected in their database.

Not yet. Are we expecting to hear from them now? I have seen some admission results in the results survey section though not many.

In the "Waiting it out" forum there has been some speculation that we should already have heard from EECS, and that outstanding results (likely to be rejections at this point) should be updated in the online application system soon. See this thread: 

Of course it's only speculation until you hear from them.

 

ORC I wouldn't expect to hear from until the end of the month, judging from past years' results.

Seems like there are a few more accepted cases posted in the results section...

those are fakes ! The feb 7 admits sound genuine to me. And they are more for computer science stream. Well,i am drained out in case of hope. It has been MIT's tradition to send email admits and update online server so the rejects can know their fate in liquid crystal display. I applied last year too
