Hello,

I really want your advice because i am in a big dilemma.I am an environmental engineer with 2 masters in environmental and sanitary engineering. My interest is remediation of contaminated soils and groundwaters. Now i want to go on with a PhD in a related field with mine.My problem is that i cant choose from the followings choices.

1) phd offer with scholarship @ Rutgers in New Jersey-Environmental sciences..the phd has the title Human Exposure (computational-chemodymanics-bioinformatics research).
2) phd offers with scholarships from European Universities ( delft, dtu, technical university of dresden, technical university of Vienna) in my field-environmental/petroleum -remediation engineering.

so I'd like to make a good choice.I like the option of US and the field of health but because I want after my PhD to work in petroleum industry(environmental health/management or remediation), I dont know which of these options is better for this and which has the biggest future work opportunities.

thank you so much!

Where do you want to work when you graduate? If in Europe, a European degree will be OK. If in the US, the euro degrees won't be as well regarded as a qualification in and of itself, because of the differences between the structure and focus of a PhD in the two models.
