Hi all,

A friend of mine is trying to decide between obtaining his MS in Human Resources Management at Rutgers or NYU SCPS. He's looking to make a significant career change, and is hoping his time in either program will give him the opportunity to obtain internships and make contacts in his new field, HR.

From what he and I can tell, the Rutgers program is highly regarded in our area, but it's less convenient for his living situation. We've heard good and bad things about NYU SCPS -- that it's this professional school NYU just tacked on to make money. But the program still seems quite legitimate   the professors work in the industry, and he'd have access to NYC job connections. It just doesn't seem quite as academic as Rugters. My question is -- does that matter? Do the people who graduate from NYU SCPS still get jobs?

Would love to hear from someone who attended either schools, industry professionals in HR, or even better, someone who has gone through either program.

Thank you so much!
