I hope you hear good news (especially after two rounds of interviews)! Not sure if they ever use the alternate list, but it's certainly better than an outright rejection. A bit more: half of last year's cohort got in off the waitlist and many students in years past did as well. So there's definitely a precedent. Good luck, everyone!
