TallyW Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Hi everyone, I am looking into applying for some Masters programs in the UK for Development or Social Psychology and keep seeing "minimum 2:1 degree" or "upper second class" in the eligibility requirements. I will be graduating in May from a Canadian university (UBC) and I'm pretty sure by the end of this term I will only have a lower second class degree. What I want to know is, do I still have a chance or will they automatically reject me because I don't have the minimum grades/GPA equivalent? Is it that I must have this or do they also consider other things like my references and work experience? I have two years experience of working in two different Psychology labs, I have worked with children before and am currently teaching an ESL class to university students and adults. My references are both from the two Profs whose labs I worked in. I emailed one program about this question but they have not gotten back to me yet. Has anyone else applied to UK Masters programs for Psych? Did you have the minimum degree requirement or know if that requirement is the thing that will "make or break" the application? Thanks!
