Time frame for CUNY adcomm to review apps?

Does anyone know when CUNY reviews bio anthro applications? I know the submission dates were ~ 1 month later then for the other subfields, so I'm wondering when exactly they meet to evaluate NYCEP applications.

I'm not 100% sure, but my POI is currently in South Africa but she told me that she is going back to New York for a couple weeks mid-Feb and then back to South Africa. Perhaps mid-Feb will be when the adcomm meets? I noticed from previous years from the results search that CUNY was notifying around the end of Feb.

I think you're right. In the last few days I found that they state on their website that the adcomm meets from mid-February through mid-May. I just hope we don't have to wait until May... the waiting is killing me right now.

Saw two rejections from CUNY on the results board :/ but interesting that some things are starting to pop up there.

I heard CUNY is doing interviews and campus visit stuff next week. So I suppose soon-ish we should hear about our application status.

Did you hear that from a reliable source? And do you mean they are sending out invites to interviews or actually conducting them?

I heard it from my POI and it is actually conducting them. I don't know more details than that as I have not heard anything from the department itself. I only heard from her about it because I was trying to organize meeting her this week while I'm in NY anyway for NYU interviews.

Thanks, mp429! Are you interviewing at CUNY as well, or did you manage to meet with your POI while you were at NYU?

I got an acceptance from NYU so I'm feeling pretty good about that one, but I did still informally meet with my CUNY POI yesterday to discuss things since I can only be in NY this week. She mentioned to me that interviews won't happen til early mid march and they won't make their decisions til mid march or later, which is running a bit late! She also said she is still deciding if she even wants a student. So all that considered, I may just accept NYU before CUNY makes decisions, but until I decide that I am still considering CUNY too (well as long as they are also considering me I suppose!). Either way they are both in NYCEP so I don't feel like it is a very different decision, just logistical on field site locations!
