Hi,

 

I received acceptance from SPIA at the University of Georgia for a doctoral program in Pol Science. I am an international student and would like to know how reputed the university is and its standing and research focus amongst students in the US. Any pointers/ comments that throw light on the same would be deeply appreciated.

U of G is rated 51st in the country according to US News, which is generally what people go by.

Many of their professors have changed over the last few years. You'll want to make sure there are at least a couple of people you're interested in working in. It would certainly depend on what your specific interests are and what you want to use the Phd for in the long run.
