I have applied for MS + Ph.D in dept of EECS,MIT for this fall. I read many results being posted about the admissions. Is there any admit who can shed us some details. i observed that most of the admits are computer science and I felt electrical engineering admissions are not yet released.

also i read in a thread that results maybe updated in application website on feb 15 and they are not saying the application status in phone. Does it mean all admits are informed and the persons who didnt get admit mail are rejected?

is there any successful candidates from India?

Well, technically CS and EE are in the same department in MIT so I'm not sure if any acceptances are remaining at this point to be released. Judging from past data on gradcafe, I don't think there will be another batch of acceptances.

My guess is that because MIT's yield rates are high enough, they will most likely not release anymore batches at this point. Maybe wait list?

but area 2 is biggest among the department and they sorta have some autonomy i guess. I saw 2 (or maybe 3 ) admits in electrical engineering but all are international:2 chinese and 1 iran.it sounded odd. Also most of the admits posted as computer science instead of eecs which made me assume so. Last year results had more EECS.

Well yes,my hope has tickled to zero but just looking for the steady ground of rejection.wait list has high possibility though. But again only one or two out of 50 is taken from that. So it is equivalent to rejection.

Us non-accepted gotta move on emotionally, start planning for the other schools. If you get suddenly accepted, great. But I think it's best to start assuming rejection and go onward.
