kteebg Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 I have recently started researching social work programs. I thought I would have to wait until next year's application cycle, but I noticed UChicago's deadline extends until April 1st, Boston's until March 1st. Does anyone know the likelihood of receiving funding when submitting an application so late in the season? I could not attend without financial assistance, but if possible, I would rather start this year than next. (My undergraduate degree is not in social work, so I don't qualify for any advanced standing programs.) Thanks!
alliehewitt89 Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Each school should have specific deadlines for filing Financial Aid. If you're talking about scholarships, I think those applications need to be submitted with your application to the school. The federal deadline for FAFSA is June 30, 2014. The state deadline for Illinois is ASAP after January 1, 2013. The state deadline for Massachusetts is May 1, 2013. As I stated before, each school will probably have their own deadlines, so I would suggest filling out the online form as soon as you can.
