crimsoc Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Anyone waiting on the Centre for Criminiology and Sociolegal studies? Competition is very tight with only 2-4 admissions per year. Called department last week and they told me selection committee sat on the 28th to make a 'short list.' I'm still as "under review" status online. Apparently faculty will be sitting this week to determine the lucky PhD students this week! Good luck to all applicants.
FantineRose Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I have applied to the Centre for Criminiology and Sociolegal studies MA program at Toronto... I wonder if they were be deciding the MA admissions at the same time?
crimsoc Posted March 5, 2013 Author Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) I have applied to the Centre for Criminiology and Sociolegal studies MA program at Toronto... I wonder if they were be deciding the MA admissions at the same time? Considering the smaller amount of students, I would say yes. It's likely however, PhDs will be notified prior to MAs. Please let me know if you hear anything back from them I will return the favour. Edited March 5, 2013 by crimsoc

PJJ Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I called the graduate secretary and asked if a decision been made on my file and he said that the MA admissions committee met last week and a decision was reached but unfortunately he cannot give me that information over the phone. My status stills says "under review" though. He said that I will be informed this week and that he will also send out an email if he has time. Ugh this is so depressing..
