I've seen several other posts from people in similar situations. I'm trying to decided mainly between 2 schools- the first being the school I really want to attend (but doesn't seem to want to give me much funding), the second being a fine school, but one that is much smaller, has a different focus than what I'd ideally like, and not a lot of flexibility in course selection (due to its small size). But, you guessed it, the smaller school is able to give me a lot of funding- a free ride with a paid internship.

I'm currently living abroad, so I'm not able to visit any of the schools I've applied to. I'm making my decision of what school would make the best fit based on what I can find on the internet and by email. I've been able to obtain a fair amount of info on the Univ. of Denver (where I'd like to go), but I've found less on Fordham Univ (who is willing to give me all the funding). In both programs, I would be studying International Development (though from varying angles).

What is their curriculum like? Teaching quality? How respected is the school? Also, Fordham's IPED program is largely focused around politics and economics (the macro forces) of development. If these aren't my own personal focus or interest (I'm more interested in practical on-the-ground development management and evaluation), will I be constrained by Fordham's program?

If anyone can offer any insights, that would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I don't know much about the IPED program in particular, but I did go to Fordham for undergrad. Are you talking about the Rose Hill or Lincoln Center campus? If it's the Rose Hill one, I could probably answer general questions about the school.

Hi, I got admitted to Fordham's IPED program as well and considering it. It's a toss up between that or Syracuse's MA IR program.

I'd be going to the Rose Hill campus. You may not be familiar with the IPED program specifically, but what are your thoughts, in general, about Fordham? Do you feel it was a quality education? How were the professors? Anything you think I should know?
