should I be worried? NYU and Columbia GSAS

Hi guys, im applying to Columbia and NYU GSAS divisions (MA in Poli Sci at Columbia & MA in IR at NYU), but I have not heard anything from them yet. Have I been rejected because its late in the game & I havent heard back yet? Has anyone else applied to these schools and programs/departments and got a decision back? if yes, then when? thanks

I'm in the same boat with GSAS at Columbia for Latin American and Iberian Cultures. So... I guess then we have to wait it out and if April 15th comes along and still no word, we've got our answer...

I applied to a Regional Studies program at Columbia, and from I've seen from the results search in past years and read around Grad Cafe I am not expecting to hear anything until April. It seems they generally take much longer with MA decisions.

 

NYU seems to just vary by department. Their website indicates that the Graduate School first reviews applications, then forwards them to individual departments for the final decision and notification.

Waiting for Columbia GSAS as well (PhD, Arch). I called last week and the very friendly woman informed me that the committee had to hand in the decisions last Friday, not sure if this is for arch only. I haven't heard anything yet, but I guess they need time to process. Also, this week (18-22) is spring break and I heard universities don't do much during that period (cannot remember where I read that). Checking the results from last years shows that PhD Arch was out between March 4 - 8 in past years, but I haven't seen anyone being accepted or rejected this year... 

 

Let's hope they don't leave us hanging for too much longer!

Hey guys, I applied to Columbia's MA in Conservation Bio program and got my acceptance email on March 20. Not sure if different programs have different timelines, but my advisor told me they made the decisions for my program back in early Feb, so it seems like it does take forever to process decisions. I contacted them.. well at least for GSAS MA , they said on April 1 they were JUST given the applications and they will now go thru them.. so more months of agony
