mylime Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Hi all, So I just heard back from Davis about funding. They enthusiastically offered me a full ride. I'm waiting to hear back about funding from Georgetown, where I was accepted in early February. I'm guessing, based on talking to other potential cohorts, that I'm on some sort of waitlist for funding. I'm wondering how to ask GU when they plan on releasing funding info, while politely informing them of my other offer (if I should do so at all). Though Georgetown is my top pick, I realistically cannot attend without at least some funding, and the full ride offered by Davis (plus their enthusiasm) is very appealing. All help much appreciated in advance--I'm quite unsure here.
TakeruK Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I think what you wrote here is great. Basically, tell them how much you want to attend but stress that you cannot attend without funding. You can then mention that Davis is offering you a package consisting of $X. Then you coud politely ask if they knew when funding information for their program would be released! funchaku 1
