crustee Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I have received all of the feedback from the graduate schools I have applied to and I am fortunate enough to have some choices! What are the criteria by which you judge a graduate school? In other words, what factors go into your decision making? Some things I've come up with: location, concentrations, accessibility of professors, price, curriculum...
geitost Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 For me they are research fit, funding, atmosphere (collaborative or cut-throat?), location and resources. student12345 1

jadoo1989 Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 research fit, prestige, funding, and if my professor was ever a gangster So, does being a gangster weigh positively or negatively? I'd say research fit, funding, location.

kiki123 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Cost and location are probably two of the biggest determining factors for me. Next to that, probably field placements.
Biostat_Assistant_Prof Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 For me it was - Research focus/interest - Funding - Feel/Fit with department - Feel/Fit within University as a whole - Location - Rank/Prestige DStory247 1
