[Pls HELP] Which EE Area?

Hi all,

 

can somebody please gimme some info. regarding the areas of EE?

 

Which area is more likely to be accepted in the US top schools, e.g. MIT, Stanford, UCB...?

IC design, Micro E (more like MSE), communications

 

 

I am still in my undergrad study but will start to participate in research very soon.

Before that, I have to decide my area so that I can apply for that area in PhD.

I would not choose your undergrad research based on what increases your chances of admission to top schools. If you're good at what you do, you'll get in to a good school. Pick something you're interested in as you'll be more motivated to work hard on your assigned project.

 

I doubt anyone on here even has an answer to this question anyways.
